No final do verão, depois de todos os turistas e ferries se terem ido embora, e os amigos voltarem para as suas casas e trabalhos no continente, Marc-Antoine e Mickael retornam à sua vida aborrecida, numa ilha na costa da França onde nada acontece fora da estação mais quente do ano. Mickael, no entanto, está cheio de planos para viajar, e convencer o amigo a deixar Córsega consigo, faz parte do plano. Marc-Antoine, por sua vez, já tinha prometido ao seu novo amor de verão, Marie, que a visitaria em Paris em breve, mas ainda assim sente-se incapaz de escapar à sua rotina sólida e estruturada.

At the end of the summer, after all the tourists and ferries have left and friends have returned to their homes and jobs on the mainland, Marc-Antoine and Mickael return to their boring life, on an island just off the coast of France where nothing much happens outside the hottest season of the year. Mickael, however, is full of plans to travel, and convincing his friend to leave Corsica with him is part of the plan. Marc-Antoine had already promised his new summer love, Marie, that he would visit her in Paris soon, but he still feels unable to escape his structured and comfortable routine.
