In a small village in northern France, an attack alert is set off due to the convergence of two events: the start of the dove hunting season and an argument between drunk Polish workers. The story told by the locals offers a slice of the strangeness in the small village of Villereau, where tension and animosity between neighbours seems to thrive. The film immerses the viewer in an atmosphere that is both absurd and melancholic, leading us to question our own paranoia and prejudice. Director Morgane Dziurla-Petit studied cinema in Paris and Cannes. Excess Will Save Us is her second short film.
